About Us

Fawcett and Hetherington Funeral Service is a proudly family-run business, deeply rooted in the heart of Redcar and the wider Teesside community. Since our founding in 1993 by Alistair Fawcett and David “Pip” Hetherington, we’ve remained committed to offering compassionate, personal care to every family we serve.

Our journey began in South Bank, expanded to Normanby, and in 2010 we brought everything together under one roof at King George House in Eston—a purpose-designed funeral home built to offer comfort, dignity, and accessibility. Today, the company is led by Alistair and Pauline’s sons, Terry and Andrew, who continue the legacy with the same dedication and warmth that has defined our name for over three decades.
